Leadership that drives results
Each leadership evolution story is unique. Discover how some of our clients have achieved transformative outcomes.
Case studies #1
Becoming the CEO
Who: The number two executive of a leading digital asset management firm was looking to elevate his leadership capabilities to position himself for the CEO role.

How: Our initial phase of work together centered around helping him cultivate more gravitas, learn to lead facilitatively to empower his team, and navigate a complex stakeholder ecosystem.
Our impact:
During the period of time we worked together, our client scaled the organization from 15 to 90 employees and cultivated a cohesive, high-performing leadership team. They won a high profile regulatory legal battle, continued to grow their investor base and product suite, and emerged unscathed from two crypto winters.
Case studies #2
Aligning leadership to unlock post-merger value
Who: After a merger, the newly formed leadership team of a media company was at risk of failing to deliver on an ambitious transformation agenda.

How: We launched a comprehensive discovery process, combining a quantitative survey with qualitative interviews. The findings surfaced both team strengths and critical interpersonal and systemic barriers to performance — including, most notably, a deep trust deficit between executives from the two legacy companies.
We designed and facilitated a series of offsites focused on building trust, strengthening cross-functional connections, and establishing a shared agenda along with clear team norms.
We also coached the CEO to expand beyond his default hub-and-spoke leadership style and foster a more collaborative team environment.

Our impact:
The leadership team moved beyond legacy allegiances by building personal connections and recognizing each other's unique strengths. They adopted new strategies to promote deeper cross-functional collaboration and began operating with a true enterprise mindset. Meetings became more substantive and less performative, driving faster innovation and execution. As internal dynamics improved, so did business performance and investor confidence, contributing to a rise in its stock price during a challenging market period.
Case studies #3
Navigating a high-stakes founder CEO transition
Who: A Series C fintech company faced a critical inflection point. The founding CEO had decided it was time for him to step away from day-to-day leadership. The board and founder agreed that the President — an external hire who had worked at the company for a year — would succeed him as CEO. To support a smooth handoff and mitigate the risks inherent in founder transitions, the founder would assume the role of executive chair for a finite period of time.

How: We conducted interviews with board members and leadership team members to define the new CEO’s leadership mandate and identify key risks and opportunities. We then developed a transition blueprint to align stakeholders around his goals and expectations.
We provided 1:1 coaching to the incoming CEO, facilitated critical conversations between him and the founder to clarify roles and decision rights, and worked with the leadership team to set collective goals, sharpen priorities, and address the talent and capacity issues in the layer below them.
